  1. “Nighthawks” is an American classic when it comes to art, almost as iconic as Grant Wood’s “American Gothic”.

There’s an episode of That ‘70s Show where Red and Kitty try to have a date night, and they end up going to a new restaurant that opened in the space where their old favorite was, and it was a trendy-type restaurant with a salad bar like Ruby Tuesday or something like that. Well, Red would not have any of that salad bar business and they eventually ended up leaving the new restaurant and going to the diner where they’d normally go. So they’re sitting at the counter waiting for their food, and as the camera pans out, Red, Kitty, and the guy working the counter get into position and the shot recreates the “Nighthawks” painting. 😁 It greatly amused me as an art nerd.
