The Writer: Episode #3

“A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.”Richard Bach

The Writer, when he was young and naive, thought that writing was easy. One would sit down, relax, think some stuff up, and then write all that stuff down.

He did not understand what the big deal was. Why people talked about writer’s block and such and such. They were dramatizing, that was all.

Fun fact: this is one of two requirements for achieving anything in life – you’re either brave enough to do it, in spite of your fears and doubts, or you’re so stupid that you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.

The writer spent so much time writing that by the time he realized writing is far from being easy, it was impossible for him to give up.

He was wrong. But there was no quitting now.

Easy or hard, the writer knew that writing was all he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
