Warrior/pacifist Princess Nausicaä desperately struggles to prevent two warring nations from destroying themselves and their dying planet.
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is a story that happens 1000 years from now, in a dystopian world. An apocalyptic war known as the Seven Days of Fire destroyed almost all of human civilization and created a toxic jungle, filled with giant mutant insects. Nausicaa is a princess from the Valley, a peaceful kingdom in an area that is free from the Toxic jungle. One night a plane carrying a princess from a different kingdom crash lands in her Valley, a series of events start to unfold, with The Valley being invaded by a military state in a war that could wipe out every last trace of the human race.
A classic anime, that is pretty fun to watch, it revolves around the human tendency to destroy nature. The film presents an apocalyptic scenario where a lack of control has turned the world into a waste land. There is one special scene, where Nausicaa shows her uncle that she took different spores and plants from the Toxic Jungle and planted them in clean soil, with clean water. And the plants turned out to be healthy. It shows that the earth and nature aren’t the problem, but the people who inhabit the planet are the real disease.
